With Your Success in Mind – A Proven Step by Step Strategy For Business Success

Starting a business is never easy but It can be made easier if you follow a proven step by step strategy for success. It doesn’t matter what type of business it is either because every business must follow the laws of business and marketing or fail.

Many online marketers will tell you they have this secret and that secret to building a business but they don’t have the first clue. What you get from them is rhetoric based solely on online experience while they forget to mention the offline business laws that make online business possible in the first place.

Before there ever was an internet, business has been carried out in the real world and proven, tested procedures for doing business and capitalizing on human behavior have been developed and improved upon.

Real world business is in a sense the Grandfather of all types of business, regardless of venue or presentation but many of it’s practices have been dropped where online business is concerned.

A few examples of offline business strategies that relate to the online business world are:

1. Finding a Market

2. Finding a Niche

3. Targeting Customers

4. Creating a Business Plan

5. Gathering metrics

While many of the above topics are discussed, one of the most important of these topics is often ignored, and that is creating a business plan.

For some reason it seems to be common place for budding entrepreneurs to think that they can start an online business without a plan of action.

“If you don’t have a plan”, my mother used to say, “You don’t know where you’ve been, so you can’t know where you’re going”.

Planning is essential to starting a business and your business plan will be your step by step business success strategy.

Many online e-books claim to have a general all purpose strategy for starting a business but there is no such thing. In fact, I would hazard that there are not many e-books that deal with business basics but instead deal in business tricks.

Personally, I find that my best business planning material originates with offline business books, guides, strategies and tactics, molded for the internet of course.

If you take the time to plan your business before you start it, you will save wasted time, effort and avoid unnecessary frustration. Problems will arise, but with a carefully thought out plan in place, success is a better than average bet.

The more things change the more they stay the same and business is really no different but you can’t forget where your roots are when starting a business and those roots are always firmly entrenched in the real world.

Most folks automatically equate ‘starting a business’ to mean an off-liner and most folks would believe it will cost a tidy sum to set up and that sum “could easily be lost”. Ie, it’s at risk automatically.

You don’t automatically have to associate business with risk (of loss)…because that was ‘old school’. It doesn’t ever have to happen again actually if folks get smart.
