October 23rd, 2007 |

Do you still spend your time reading newspapers and surfing the Internet constantly to stay up to date on all your interests? Well, it would be wise if you consider using Google Alerts or Google Blog Alerts to do this for you. Why you ask? Well because Google scours the Internet 24/7 and will bring you whatever you want via email.

For instance, I am a coordinator for an Online Think Tank and to insure that I am doing my job correctly, I subscribe to Google News Alerts and Google Blog Alerts and scan the titles and basic information of whatever we are working on that month. I often change and modify these alerts as well.

Currently, I take Google News Alerts for the Following Words:

  • UAV,
  • Hypersonic Aircraft,
  • Earthquake,
  • Volcano,
  • Typhoon,
  • Hurricane,
  • Wildfire,
  • Ocean Dead Zone,
  • Ocean Wave Energy,
  • Virtual Reality,
  • Artificial Intelligence,
  • Space Technology,
  • Honduras,
  • Kenya,
  • Syria,
  • Bolivia,
  • Venezuela,
  • Iraq,
  • India,
  • China Economy,
  • Iran War,
  • Mars Rover,
  • NASA,
  • DARPA,
  • AFRL,

  • Franchising,
  • USDA,

NOTE: When taking Google News and Blog Alerts one must quickly scan the titles and first few lines of each entry to maintain time efficiency. Anyone in business, specializing or interested in specific topics should do this.

If you are truly serious about your endeavors on this Planet during your life experience or you are holding yourself out to be an experts of sorts, then don’t you think you ought to know what you are talking about and be up on the latest information?
